Power in the blood

Many of us have sung songs telling of the power in the blood of Jesus. For those who are “saved” the power of His blood seems obvious. But, in truth, most “saved” people only have a hint of the true power Jesus made available.  There is so much more!

When the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima  we were shocked by the power of the bomb we unleashed. But just a few years later they played with an even more powerful bomb. The hydrogen bomb. So powerful, the point of origin was in dire danger of Annihilation.  It is said that it was like 3,800 Hiroshima bombs exploding at the same time. Good thing they ended up making it half the size that was planned.  “Scared straight” is a term we use to correct the path of wayward children and teens.  It took a while for the meaning of the results to sink in, first impracticality is what stood in the way of horrors this bomb would wreak,  but eventually  “scared straight “ is what happened to the world powers of the time.

The H bomb that was released in 1961 was seen over 600 miles away. The seismic disturbance was felt worldwide and the absolute destruction zone was over 21 miles radius.  In that 21 mile area, all the land was made flat, leveled, swept of all debris and left polished like a skating rink.

Why am I telling you this?  It is because God wants all to know that just one drop of the blood of Jesus has the power to demolish with absolute destruction all impurity and imperfection of anyone who will totally trust Him.  Not only on this planet but on every planet of every galaxy known and unknown.  The power of the blood of Jesus goes beyond that, piercing the fabric of time and space so that there is nothing that is not swept clean and polished in all of the past, all of the present and (here is the part that may upset some apple carts) all of the future.  Yes, the past, present and future of every believer throughout all of existence. God is not boxed in by the walls of time and the blood of Jesus is not hindered by time nor space nor anything else(Romans 8:38-39) . The power of the cross always has, is, and always will continue to demolish with absolute destruction everything and anything that would try to come between the believer and the one true God.

Jesus said “ it is the will of Him who sent me, that I shall not lose any of those He has given me, but I will raise them up at the last day” John 6:37 (Romans 11:29)

The power of the blood of Jesus does not end with the free gift of salvation, that is the beginning.  So that every believer can walk in the path of Jesus doing the things that He did and (He said) more. Healings, miracles, words of wisdom and knowledge and all the other accomplishments of Jesus did not begin with His earthly birth nor did they end with His earthly death. So do not assume that His power is made weak by time or by His death or the death of His disciples or by the power of stupidity, ineptness, deviousness nor evil in any form. The power of the blood trumps it all.

This is just a glimpse of the Power of Jesus blood, I challenge you to ask God to help you trust Him more, show you more about this power and to walk with , through and in the power of Jesus on a daily basis.

A Call to Action

God’s intention when He appointed  people and gave  gifts to them was for them to use the gifts  for the perfecting and full equipping of the saints. Why? So the saints (everyday believer) could go forth and DO the work of ministering toward the building up of the body of Christ.  What does all of this mean?

It is not just the person in the pulpit that has been called to minister.  It is every believers calling to minister ( serve God , announce His presence and uplift believers) with the gifts given to them.

Whatever giftings God has placed in you is for you to use inside and outside of the church ( yes that means at work, school, at home, in public office, and everywhere else)  to introduce people to God and to mature them so well that they are able to carry on the work even if you are not there. To replicate in others what God has trained you to do.

There will never be enough apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, or teachers ,who are faith filled and God inspired. Don’ t be afraid of losing your job to those who you teach, for it will be unbelievers who will eventually take the believers place in the Church buildings.

If you  currently are a true believer in the one and only true God who sent His son Jesus to die for the sins of all and has sent Holy Spirit to teach, lead  and comfort every believer ,  and you currently have an appointment of one of these listed jobs, it is time to make a plan and begin to teach as many as you can  – the Word of God,   how to hear and yield to God’s voice,  and  your “calling” , “appointment “ “duties” , “job” ,and/or  “ giftings” so that those you teach are matured within 3 years. (perfection and maturity are two different things -remember, the followers of Jesus all went into hiding and it looked like they were going to flounder.)

This is to be a simultaneous and continuous effort.

It is now happening and soon will be widespread, that churches will be a house for all beliefs and religions. Anyone who says there is only one true God, at  first will be shunned, later imprisoned for their beliefs and of course there will come a time people will pay with their life for such belief

For these reasons and more, God says do not delay, do not postpone, do not be complacent and do not toss these words aside and think to yourself I will leave this for the next generation. There is a spiritual war at hand and preparations must be made now.

Making a Difference

May God open the ears and understanding of your mind to hear what He has to say.  May His peace enfold you and keep you.  May His love guide your thoughts and actions.

No matter your age, your IQ, your level of education or lack thereof, whether or not you have emotional stability, full use of your body, have missing parts, can or cannot see, or hear …there is nothing that can block the power of God from working through a person who has given their life completely over to God. Even when a such a person dies, their bones , ashes, their story … are all useable for God’s glory.

While we are living though, God’s very presence lives in us making a big difference in the spiritual realm.  In many of the western countries the elderly are considered  a burden and unnecessary.

Often times the elder person feels that way about themselves.  As time goes on, the temptation to retire seems to hard to resist.  We become weary of doing, well, anything. Perhaps illness has taken a stronghold, pain that overtakes us or emotional trauma leaving us somewhat paralyzed.  Our bodies weaken, our minds are not as sharp, our eyes and hearing may suffer some loss.  All of this and more can cause a feeling of uselessness, thinking that it is the youth of the world that should take up the fight.

The problem is Christianity is not a job.  It is not something one  retires from.  Our roles may change but we are still a place where God dwells and His power continues to affect and change people even through our aged or broken bodies, minds, emotions.

I am telling you these things, says God, because  the war in the heavenlies is heating up.  Every person is extremely important.  The staging for the end times has begun.  Piece by piece is falling into place.  Now is the time for all believers to believe fully.  Do not be led away by popular ideologies, politics, religious beliefs or anything else nor allow anyone to persuade you that these new ways are better than the ways of the God of  -Abraham,  Isaac , Paul, Peter, or any of the believers that have followed.

I am the same yesterday, today and forever.

I have planned the maturity of the times and the climax of the ages in order to unify all things and to consummate them under the headship of Christ.  Both things in heaven and things on the Earth.  What is happening, I told you about before and I am reminding you about again, so you will be prepared.  So you can stand strong.  So you can know with peace and assurance that I, the Alpha and the Omega, am orchestrating, conducting, and performing all that I promised.  Make yourselves ready, Make yourselves ready, draw close to Me, learn my voice, practice your giftings, know my character, make yourselves ready.

Is anyone listening?

I heard squealing.  My mind interpreted the sound as teenage girls having a good time.  I looked, just to confirm.  Yes, they were now laughing and giggling.

God spoke to me, “Even when it’s not your children, you are listening and looking, just as I do.  If there had been trouble you would have leapt into action.”  He reminded me of a scripture in Jeremiah that speaks to me about children.

When your children ask for a cookie, you hear them, and smile.  But, knowing dinner is soon, you don’t give them the cookie immediately.  Instead, you make plans to give them one after dinner.  They want a bike, you know you have it planned for Christmas next month, so they don’t get it now.  Day after day, year after year, the requests come.  And, being a good parent you give the children all the good gifts you can, at the appropriate time.  (You, having an evil nature, know how to give good gifts to your children.  I am Love!  So, how much more do I respond and give good gifts to those who ask?)  You have been listening and responding their entire life.  Then, one day your child comes to you and says “I need to talk.”  Something in the timber of their voice has changed, you stop and lean in to listen and heed what they are saying.

This is a pivotal time in their life, one you have not only been waiting for, but also one you have been guiding them toward.

We are very much like the children described above.  We ask, God answers.  But not always immediately.  In fact, we may not always connect the dots between our request and God’s affirmative answer.  We don’t see that He is always watching, listening, and leaping into action in our behalf.  Seldom do we recognize, He is gently guiding us to the many times in our walk with God where we will find ourselves at the word “Then” in Jeremiah 29:12

“Then you will call upon me, and you will come and pray to me, and I will hear and heed you. Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me, and find me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be  found by you,” says the Lord.

I realize God is telling me that He has stopped, He is leaning in and paying attention to my heart’s concerns.  Now the verse has a deeper more personal meaning for me, and I suddenly know we have come through many “Thens”  together through my life.

How wonderful that God doesn’t just hear us, He stops, leans in to listen, and pays careful attention to what we are saying.  How amazing that He is giving us assurance that when we seek Him, He will make sure that we find Him.  No matter what situations, concerns, or circumstances we may find ourselves facing.

I pray for you all to receive wisdom and revelation; that it will ignite a fire within you.  I pray that fire would not be quenched by the day to day struggles, by the unbelief that is so pervasive in this world, or by any other tool your enemy has established against you.

By having your heart flooded with wisdom and revelation, you will begin to truly understand the hope to which God has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance for those He has set apart.  I pray also that you will see and understand the immeasurable, unlimited, and surpassing greatness of His power.  He has placed that same power in, and for, us who believe.

God has displayed this might, and strength, over and over again.  And it is this same strength that He exerted in Jesus when He raised Him from the dead, and seated Him at His own right hand in Heavenly places.

It is this very same power that He has placed within all who have placed their trust in Jesus as their Savior; the power that now separates us from our sin and trespasses.  For we were dead in our sinful nature, but now we are alive because of the power in the blood of Jesus .  Yes, God, by and through His grace and mercy, has raised us up together with Him, causing us to be seated IN Jesus at His right side.

We are now God’s handiwork that He re-created in Christ Jesus for a purpose.  That purpose is so we would do good works, following in the footsteps of Jesus. These good works were planned by God, and the paths to carry out our assignments have been prepared for us so we will accomplish all that He sets before us.

As you receive the light of understanding, you will come to know that God has not abandoned us.  You will see that He did not leave us behind in this dark world  to live, struggle, and die until some unknown future date when He comes again.  Instead, He has given us all the same power that the prophets of old, and Jesus, were given.  He has given us free access to Him any time, any place.  He goes before us preparing a way.  He stands beside us to lead and guide us, and He follows behind to protect us from anyone or anything that would come against us.  Our job?  To have Faith and Walk Forward  in the way that has been prepared.  Expect that God will uphold you, causing the good works to come to fruition.  (What kind of works?  How big is your faith?)  Know that when evil comes against you, and you feel alone in a dark place, that He is there to bring you through victoriously.  After that, rejoice in God’s victory.

The How to Edition for The Mission of Love

Make it a practice to love your enemies and do good towards them.  Act like you are from a noble family that has no need to act, or react, in the same way as those who detest you and pursue you with hatred.

If someone strikes you on the cheek, give the other cheek as well.  If someone takes your coat, offer your shirt too.  Give to everyone who begs of you (especially those who are lacking the necessities of life).   If someone takes something of yours, don’t require or demand it back.

This is very important:

Whatever you desire others to do to you, or for you, do exactly so to them.

If you love only those who love you, or do kind things for only those who will reciprocate, there is no credit.  No heavenly crown awaits, because these things already benefit you.

The same goes for loaning people money.  If you require not only what was borrowed, but also demand interest payment, the good deed is nullified. Instead, love your enemies, be kind and do good things.  Do favors for that person in a way that will benefit them.

When you lend money don’t expect to even hope for a return.  Don’t feel that you have lost something. When you lend in this manner, your reward will be great.  And you will be the sons of the Most High, for He is kind, charitable, and good to the ungrateful, the selfish and the wicked.  So be merciful even as your Father in heaven is merciful.

Don’t judge and you will not be charged.  Don’t condemn, nor pronounce guilty, and you will not be condemned.  Acquit, forgive, and release resentment.  Let it drop and you will be acquitted, forgiven and released.  (This is automatic, like a Chinese finger puzzle. The more you hold on to resentment and unforgiveness, the tighter the vice of hurt on your heart and mind will become.  But, as soon as you push towards real forgiveness, the vice on your heart and mind releases and you are set free.)

Give, and gifts will be given to you, using a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and even running over.  However, whatever measure you use to give to others it will be the same measure used back toward you.  (For you science buffs , this works like Newton’s third law of motion.  For every action there is an equal, but opposite, reaction.)

These thoughts and words are from Jesus’s sermon on the mount, found in chapter 6 of Luke’s gospel.

As it says in Philippians 2, have this attitude in  yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus…

Renewing the Mind

After turning your life over to God, trusting all that Jesus has done for you has set you free from the consequences of sin, the focus of the Christians life becomes love.  Loving God, yourself and the people of the world.

At times, something gets in the way and prevents the mission of love from succeeding.  That “something” is the way the mind responds.  Some responses were trained into us by parents, teachers, other children…  Some responses are due to  our own perspective.  This is the tricky one.  How can we change the way we see things?

God has given us a recipe to guide us to a renewed mind.  This recipe is found in Philippians 4.

Choose to rejoice in all situations, all the time. It is not the circumstances we find ourselves in that give us cause for rejoicing.  We have reason to rejoice because of God’s love toward  us.  He made us, saved us, loves us, upholds us, and goes before us.  He is our rear guard.  His mercies are new every morning.  God is the beginning, and He is the end.  He is our morning (guiding) star.  He is our healer, our protector, our provider…

If we become blind in this physical realm, it does not mean the sun stopped shining.  The same is true in the spiritual realm.  When we find ourselves in the midst of difficult circumstances, it is often hard to see God.  This does not mean God is not there.

He is there… always!  His thoughts are toward you and His actions uplift you.

Because this is always true, rejoice in the Lord always.

Let your patience, consideration, and unselfishness be obvious to everyone.  You can afford such an attitude because your father is God.  And God is Love.

Do not allow your mind to worry, fret, or be anxious about anything. If it even tries to worry, in any circumstance, go to God.  Talk to Him about everything, your problems, your needs, and your wants. Then, listen to Him as He speaks to your heart and mind.

Receive His peace.  You now know there is nothing to fear from God, for He has given you salvation.  You know there is nothing to fear from death, since your soul now has eternal life.

Let that knowledge cause you to be content in the circumstances of this earthly life.  (God wants to use your particular gifts, spiritual and natural, in each circumstance you encounter.) Then His peace will be established like a garrison, guarding over your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Once you have done these things, focus your mind on things that are good, lovely, and pure. Take notice of all things honorable and seemly.  Look for kindness and graciousness.  See the virtue and the virtuous.  Give attention to excellence and anything worthy of praise.  Fix your mind on these things.

This builds a wall in your mind around negativity, and does not allow it to invade your thoughts, words or actions.

Yes, this is an ongoing mission.  Each step you take frees you to exude more and more love toward God and mankind.  Having more love helps you to fulfill your calling in Christ Jesus.

A new king, Darius, came to the throne.  King Darius decided to set up his government with twenty satraps and three presidents, who would set over the twenty.  The satraps were to gather the kings possessions and keep accounts.  The presidents were to make sure the accounts were true.  Daniel was a member of this group.  He was so excellent at his job that he was promoted over the presidents.  Indeed, he was placed over the entire realm.

His former co-workers were not happy with this new arrangement.  They began searching for ways to discredit Daniel.  Upon finding nothing, they decided to create a situation that would, in effect,  get rid of him.

After devising their plan, they went to King Darius and conned him into making a new law.  This law proclaimed no one was allowed to petition a god, or man, except the king for 30 days. If this law was broken, the person would be cast into a den of lions.

The king, not knowing of the conspiracy, had the law written and signed.  According to the laws of his nation, once the king had signed a law, no one could change it, not even the king.

Even though Daniel found out about this new law, he still continued his practice of praying 3 times a day with his windows facing  toward Jerusalem open.

In continuing with their plan, the satraps and presidents invited other government officials to join them as they proceeded to Daniels home.  They arrived at just at the right moment to witness his prayer time.  Now they had proof, and witnesses, that he had broken the law.

The conspirators made an audience with the king.  They first reminded  him about the new law, and that he could not change it.  Then, they proceeded with their evil plan to betray Daniel, by informing the king that he had broken the law.

King Darius, realizing he had been duped by his satraps and presidents, was dismayed that he had allowed himself be talked into signing the law.  He worked all night long, trying to find a way to save Daniel, but he could not.

The next day Daniel was thrown into the den of lions, where a stone was rolled over the entrance and sealed with the kings own signet.

The king would not eat, nor would he be entertained by his musicians or dancers for that evening.  He could not sleep.  Early the next morning he rose up and rushed to the den of lions.  He cried out, “Daniel, O, Daniel, servant of the living God.  Is your God, Whom you serve continually, able to deliver you from the lions?”

Daniel answered from within, explaining that God had sent His angel

to shut up the mouths of the lions because of his innocence.

King Darius was so glad.  He had Daniel removed from the den of lions.  After checking him over, and announcing Daniel was not hurt in any way, he was released.  However, the king commanded Daniel’s accusers, along with their wives and children, be cast into the den of lions.

The lions killed them all before they even hit the floor of the den.

King Darius then made a decree to everyone in every language.  “All men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel, for He is the living God.”

Though Daniel knew a trap had been set for him, he did not hide his worship of his God.  He did not attempt to plead for help from his king.  He simply stood fast in his beliefs, and trusted God to take care of the rest.

If you have ever been betrayed by family, friends, or perhaps someone from the church, you know how hard it was for Daniel to stand fast in the midst of such a horrible trial.  But, it was his complete trust in God’s faithfulness that brought him through unscathed.

We serve the very same God!

What is Going On?

The world was upside down, people were suffering and  dying.  Then, some guy was going around preaching and “healing” people.  Lots of people were flocking around and causing trouble with the authorities .

The authorities watched on as His popularity grew.  They became concerned that He might lead a revolt against their civil and religious hierarchy. They didn’t want to be replaced.

He said He was sent by God; that this new movement was God’s plan.  They wondered, was that true, or were they in danger?  Were the masses being duped by Satan?

Jesus was the new “move” of God.  The people who were in the old “move” did not want Jesus to come in and change things. The authorities did not want to be replaced.  They were so upset they had Him put to death.  Since God doesn’t do things the way mankind thinks (Isaiah 55:8), His plan was not thwarted, but instead, His purposes were achieved.

Soon, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to descend on His followers.  That caused a ruckus!  People flocked around.  People from all over the city came to see what the noise was all about.  When they arrived they saw people acting drunk.  It was unseemly, nevertheless it was God’s move.

A little time passed and those converted people were arguing, disagreeing about food, about who is worthy to hear the good news, about who was the best teacher.  Did that mean what happened with the tongues of fire and acting drunk was not really from God?  No!  It simply meant the heart of mankind was still imperfect even when they were “saved.”  They were still being perfected.

God has sent the Holy Spirit several times to stir up the church since then.  The old movement doesn’t like or trust the new movement.

When people in the new movement began to walk in power and authority some of the old school felt scared or threatened.  It sometimes caused a division of the church.  Some of those divisions were so severe they became different denominations.  Don’t worry, God has not been thwarted, His purposes are always achieved!

On April 2, 2018 God revealed this to me and asked me to share His words with you.

Now God says:

Do not be dismayed, I am coming soon but first I will send Holy Spirit to awaken my people.  There will be a series of Holy Spirit visitations.  Yes, some will be saved, some will be healed, but most importantly, those who have little or no faith will be strengthened.

Let go of sibling rivalries. The eye cannot pick up the ball like a hand can, the hand cannot kick the ball to another place like the foot can, the foot cannot see where to go without the eye.

You have heard these things before, but did not understand.

Now understand, there is a place and a purpose for those that are established, those who are walking in the anointing that came before.  Do not fear what is to come.

There is a place and a need for those who will be touched in each move of the Holy Spirit.  As you are touched, embrace and walk in all that I give you.

I am sending My Holy Spirit to you because My people need to become strong, knowledgeable about the Word, able to pray without ceasing, fluent in the use of the gifts of the Spirit, confident they know my voice, experienced in expressing their beliefs, even in the face of adversity, and full of faith.

Do not be afraid, I am with you.  I will go before you, and I will be your rear guard.

Saved! Now What?

You have heard the good news.  You have recognized what Jesus did for you on the cross. You have received forgiveness for your sins.  Yes!  You are saved!  Now what do you do?

I have put together a 12 step guide to get you started on your life-long adventure.

  1. Learn to love God more and more each day.  Fill your heart and mind with thoughts of Him.  Read about Him.  (The best source is the Bible (a newer translation will make it easier to understand).  Sing to, and about Him.  Talk with others about Him.  Talk to Him about everything, all the time.  Learn to recognize God’s voice. Trust Him and obey Him.
  2. Learn to love yourself.  Stop thinking and talking negatively about yourself to you and others.  Have mercy and grace toward yourself. Start thinking nice things about yourself.
  3. Learn to love others AS you love yourself.  (Now you can see one of the reasons why # 2, loving yourself,  is so important.)  Speak only nice things about others.  Have mercy and grace towards others. Talk to God in behalf of others.  Be moved by love to  help others.
  4. Ask and keep on asking God for more love and to be more like Him.
  5. Be confident that God, who began a good work in you, will continue to perfect it until Jesus comes again.
  6. Let your love of others motivate you to stay strong in your faith so you will do nothing that will cause you, or others who are watching you, to stumble.
  7. The climate in America, and around the world, has become less accepting of Christians.  So, it is important to learn about, and put on, the armor of God.  (Check out the armor in Ephesians 6:11-18 in your Bible.)
  8. Do not be afraid of your adversaries, in the spirit or of the flesh. God is with you and, as the first Christians said, “It is a privilege to suffer on behalf of Jesus.”
  9. Be like Jesus.  Love like Jesus.  Be a servant like Jesus.  Be humble like Jesus.  If you do these things God will be exalted.
  10.  Help others come to know the good news.  Be bold enough to tell others, but also financially support those who are boldly telling the good  news.  Remember all that you are and all that you have belong to God now.
  11. Continue to grow up in the spirit.  Walk in the spirit!  (Ask God for all of His gifts; learn how to use them.  Then, be aware of God’s presence at all times, and be ready to use your gifts any time God calls upon you to do so.)
  12. Rejoice in the Lord!  Do not be anxious or fret about anything.  Instead, ask God continually for the things you need, and want, for yourself and others.  Rejoice in the Lord always!  Be thankful.  Entertain thoughts about yourself, others, and the world, that are true, lovely, honorable, kind, good, lovable, pure, gracious, and virtuous. Then, rejoice in the Lord always!  Doing this in all circumstances will bring peace to your heart and mind.
  13. Accomplishing 1-11, will help you immensely if you find a group of believers that can support your efforts.  Here are a few places you might find them:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Churches                                                                                                                                                                          Bible studies
      Prayer groups
      Revival meetings
      Praise meetings

  Worship meetings

      Healing meetings

  Home groups

      House meetings
